Live Data on the Streets of Deventer

Deventer is taking a significant step toward a data-driven future. As part of the DMI Ecosystem, the city has recently installed 20 StreetSense sensors and 5 air quality sensors at strategic locations. Supplied by Mobility Sensing, these devices support the city’s ambition to deploy innovative technologies for a livable, safe, and sustainable urban environment.

The StreetSense sensors continuously generate live data on the state and use of Deventer’s streets. In addition, the air quality sensors provide insights into local air quality and also measure the air temperature, pressure and humidity. These data enable the municipality to make more informed decisions regarding mobility policy, road maintenance, and public health.

The rollout is part of the DMI Ecosystem (Dutch Mobility Innovations), a nationwide collaboration between governments, businesses, and knowledge institutions to implement smart mobility solutions. By embracing the power of data and partnerships, Deventer is paving the way for the city of tomorrow.
