Dotting the I’s in DMI

This week we serviced the StreetSense and AirSense sensor networks in the municipalities of Breda and ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Among others, three StreetSense devices were re-installed after resurfacing works. This illustrates the benefits of the modular design of the StreetSense device, allowing devices to be removed before and reinstalled after road resurfacing works. With these updates the sensor networks in these cities are fully operational, providing city wide live information on the state and use of city streets.

Mobility Sensing and the municipalities of Breda and ‘s-Hertogenbosch are members of the DMI Eco System, that brings together governments, industry and academia to drive the digital transformation of cities. The DMI Eco System helps cities unlock the power of data, digital twins, and federated systems to accelerate sustainable change. In the DMI Eco System, Mobility Sensing provides 10 municipalities with 250 IoT sensors that provides them with actionable data on traffic flows, and to combat winter conditions,  heat stress and air pollution.
