Maintenance BridgeSense

Last week, Mobility Sensing began major maintenance on the BridgeSense network. Sensors on dozens of bridges across the country have already been inspected, replaced, and updated. Most of the existing sensors have been replaced with new units. The retrieved sensors will be refurbished in our workshop and equipped with the latest firmware, so that they are ready for redeployment. The remaining bridges—more than 300 across the Netherlands—will be serviced in the coming weeks.

BridgeSense detects bridge openings and reports them in real time to the Blauwe Golf system and NDW. From there, the information is distributed by service providers to waterway and road users, ensuring they are never caught off guard by an open bridge.
